- Even ordinary persons who are just looking for a relaxing experience should try it, but do expect something a bit more than what you are normally experiencing with a routine Spa or Ayurvedic Abhyanga massage, for it is not a soft oil rubbing massage.

Who should NOT take this massage?

-Pregnant woman

-Those who are above 70 years and those who are physically weak and unhealthy, might find this too intense for them.

-Even those above 60, if the masseur finds they are weak for such a massage, he will reduce the time to 45- 50 minutes. 

-People who have High bloody pressure and not taking any medication

- Children below 18 years - One parent MUST be present for the whole session

 

Can menstruating woman take this massage?

Of course they can. However, every person knows what their body goes through and their limits during this period and you must be the best judge for yourself.

 

Is it a painful massage?

- Of course not. Masseur will adjust the strength accordingly, but you might still feel it is not soft. It is normal to feel some pain when foreign hands are flowing through various muscles with some pressure.

- However, Please know that there is good and bad pain. Even the good pain, there is a limit to which you can endure in a first massage and the masseur is attentive to your feelings. Do not worry

 

Should I make any preparations before and after massage?

- It is always advisable to have a quick shower before you walk in to the spa or the massage table. 

- Drink enough water

- Tell the masseur anything you feel is important about your body. If you have Vericose veins, it is very important to say

- After the massage, please rest on the table for at least a couple of minutes and take deep breaths and relax yourselves, feel your whole body, before you get out of the massage room. Ideally, do not do any thing strenuous or physically too much active after the massage, till you sleep. Better to rest. 

- Drink lots of water

 

How best can I enjoy this massage?

Close your eyes, and just concentrate on the hands of the masseur. Try to be present

Do not sleep, if you can

Avoid unnecessary conversations, and just concentrate.  

 

Should I take this massage continuously for few days?

Absolutely not, unless you are physically extremely healthy. If you need more sessions, it is better to wait at least 3-4 days after the first massage. Therein, you could take it every alternate days or once a week or month and so on. 

 

Is it a Therapeutic massage?

No it is not, neither is  your masseur a therapist. However the technique is so different and when applied with the adequate pressure, one might find it as a therapeutic massage.
